Thanks for stopping by my Bach Seat where I carry on about information technology, networking, security and anything that else that intrigues me. Grab a seat lets chat.
My name is Ralph Bach, I’ve been in IT since 1997 and have been blogging since 2001. My first Cert was a Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) 3.12. I went on to get my CNE 4 and CNE 5 and a Cisco CCNA. I progressed up the responsibility chain from a computer lab technician to a support manager to the network administrator. From there I went into consulting. During my consulting stint, I did voice video and data jobs for Fortune 5 companies, universities, city and county governments as well as K-12 schools. Now I run shared technical services for fourteen schools districts here in Michigan with a team of 10 techs and engineers.
I have a BA from the University of Michigan and MBA from Lawrence Technological University in 2005 with high honors. I also earned a graduate certificate in Information Assurance from LTU in 2008. I am working between getting a PMP and a CWNP.
