This transfer creates free electrons in the anode which generate a charge at the positive current. This electrical current then powers the device.<\/p>\r\n<p data-block-id=\"c5539257-1fcb-431d-8554-398642936fec\">When the battery is charged, the process is reversed, with the lithium ions moving from the cathode back to the anode.
