As a result, the chip maker became the most valuable company in the world, <strong>beating out <a title=\"Revenue comparison of Apple, Google, Alphabet, and Microsoft from 2008 to 2023\" href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/234529\/comparison-of-apple-and-google-revenues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Microsoft and Apple<\/a><\/strong>. Some are wondering if Nvidia\u2019s current valuation is justified and sustainable. Some are arguing that we\u2019re still just at the beginning of the Generative AI boom. However, others aren\u2019t yet convinced that AI will deliver on the hype that tools like ChatGPT have created.<\/p>\r\n<h3>Generative artificial intelligence<\/h3>\r\n<p>In this context, Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) refers to a trending class of machine learning applications that are able to create new data, including text, images, video, or sounds, based on a large dataset on which it has been trained. Adobe\u2019s latest <strong>image generation<\/strong> model, <a title=\"Adobe Introduces Firefly Image 3 Foundation Model to Take Creative Exploration and Ideation to New Heights\" href=\"https:\/\/news.adobe.com\/news\/news-details\/2024\/Adobe-Introduces-Firefly-Image-3-Foundation-Model-to-Take-Creative-Exploration-and-Ideation-to-New-Heights\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Firefly 3<\/a>, announced in April 2024. Yet, the e-commerce and cloud giant finds itself <a title=\"Amazon Web Services Playing Catch-Up In Generative AI\" href=\"https:\/\/www.investors.com\/news\/technology\/amazon-stock-gets-price-target-hike-on-aws-prospects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">playing catch-up in generative AI<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<p>According to\u00a0<a title=\"Amazon is secretly working on a ChatGPT killer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/amazon-chatgpt-rival-codenamed-metis-2024-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><em>Business Insider\u2019s<\/em><\/a> sources, a stealth internal project code-named Metis, is it next step in AI.\u00a0 \u201cMetis\u201d will be powered by an internal Amazon AI model called Olympus. The latter will power Remarkable Alexa, a new, more capable version of Alexa for a\u00a0 <a title=\"Next-gen Alexa may come with an added cost\" href=\"https:\/\/cybernews.com\/tech\/next-gen-alexa-added-cost\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">monthly subscription fee<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>Metis will reportedly use a technique called retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/amazon-chatgpt-rival-codenamed-metis-2024-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">according<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0<em>BI. RAG will enable <\/em>Metis to retrieve information from beyond the original data used to train the underlying model. Claude AI is a <strong>constitutional chatbot<\/strong>. It has been trained to make judgments based on a set of principles taken from documents including the 1948 UN Declaration and Apple\u2019s terms of service, which expands to issues in the digital domain. Claude 2 has complex choice-making capabilities and scored 76.5% on the multiple choice section of the bar exam.
