The height tells you how to decorate the tree. The formula calculates the ideal number of baubles, length of tinsel, and length of lights. It even calculates the height of the star, fairy, or angel sitting atop the tree required to get the catalog-perfect look. \u201c<em>The formulas took us about two hours to complete,<\/em>\u201d Ms. Wrightmas said. \u201c<em>We hope the formulas will play a part in making Christmas that little bit easier for everyone<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;treegonometric&#8221; formulas are:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20221215082633\/https:\/\/www.sheffield.ac.uk\/news\/nr\/debenhams-christmas-tree-formula-1.227810\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-97033 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/PerfectChrismtasTree-e1562523933135.jpg?resize=480%2C290&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Perfect Chrismtas Tree\" width=\"480\" height=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/PerfectChrismtasTree-e1562523933135.jpg?w=582&amp;ssl=1 582w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/PerfectChrismtasTree-e1562523933135.jpg?resize=75%2C45&amp;ssl=1 75w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/PerfectChrismtasTree-e1562523933135.jpg?resize=150%2C91&amp;ssl=1 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For example, a 6 foot tall (180 cm) Christmas tree needs the following decorations.
