The Secure Pro has a <strong>USB memory stick<\/strong> integrated into it along with the expected knives and screwdrivers. The firm claims it the most <strong>secure USB stick of its kind available to the public. <\/strong>The Secure Pro uses several <strong>layers of security <\/strong>to protect the data on it from being stolen.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swissarmy.com\/us\/en\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-110096\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/victorinox_logo.jpg?resize=75%2C75&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"75\" height=\"75\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/victorinox_logo.jpg?resize=75%2C75&amp;ssl=1 75w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/victorinox_logo.jpg?w=150&amp;ssl=1 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 75px) 100vw, 75px\" \/><\/a>The security layers included in the Swiss Army Knife include a <strong>fingerprint scanner<\/strong> linked to a <strong>heat and oxygen sensor. <\/strong>The sensor is capable of determining whether the user&#8217;s finger is still attached to a living person &#8211; so that a detached finger will not yield access to the memory stick\u2019s contents. Any attempt to forcibly open the Victorinox Secure triggers a <strong>self-destruct mechanism<\/strong> that destroys the CPU and memory chip.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.victorinox.com\/en-US\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-110085\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/SwissArmyUSB.jpg?resize=250%2C190&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/SwissArmyUSB.jpg?resize=150%2C114&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/SwissArmyUSB.jpg?resize=75%2C57&amp;ssl=1 75w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/SwissArmyUSB.jpg?w=400&amp;ssl=1 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Victorinox Secure Pro uses <strong>AES256<\/strong> technology, together with MKI\u2019s Schnuffi Platform Single Chip Technology. Martin Kuster, CEO of security chip specialist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mxisecurity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MKI<\/a>, told <em><a title=\"InfoWorld\" href=\"http:\/\/www.infoworld.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">InfoWorld<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0 &#8220;I&#8217;m concerned about the way technology is progressing, with all our personal data going into &#8220;the cloud.&#8221; Soon everything will go into the cloud &#8211; and I don&#8217;t like it! Perhaps one day I will have to buy back all this information from eBay!&#8221; The security integrates Single Chip Technology, meaning that there are <strong>no external and accessible lines between the different coding\/security steps<\/strong>, as on multi-chip solutions; this makes cracking the hardware impossible.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mxisecurity.com\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-110088\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/mxisecurity_logo.gif?resize=135%2C30&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"135\" height=\"30\" \/><\/a>Victorinox was so confident of Swiss Army Knife security that it<strong> offered a $150,000 prize<\/strong> to a team of professional hackers if they could break into it during the two hours product launch event. The money went uncollected. Victorinox Secure\u2019s designer Kuster, stated, \u201cLife is becoming more digital every day&#8230; And yet people do so little to protect their data. The world\u2019s<a href=\"https:\/\/wp.me\/p2wgaW-uw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> most common password is \u201812345\u2019 <\/a>&#8211; and even encryption can be broken given time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe wanted to create not only a product for today\u2019s modern lifestyle but a new generation of memory stick that had all the values of functionality and reliability that the iconic Swiss Army Knife has come to represent\u201d stated Carl Elsener Jr., Victorinox\u2019s CEO. \u201cWe think of the Victorinox Secure as the digital Swiss Army Knife.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Secure Pro Swiss Army Knife was launched 03-25-10 in London and is available in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB sizes and will sell for $75 to $270. Additional features include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LED Mini White Light<\/li>\n<li>Retractable Ball Point Pen<\/li>\n<li>Blade<\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<li>Nail File with<\/li>\n<li>Screwdriver<\/li>\n<li>Keyring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>David Reinsel, group vice president of storage and semiconductor research at <a title=\"IDC\" href=\"http:\/\/idc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IDC<\/a> was on-point when he<a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsfactor.com\/news\/Victorinox-Adds-Self-Destructing-USB\/story.xhtml?story_id=131008JSSV4U&amp;full_skip=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> stated<\/a>, &#8220;It&#8217;s a cool product that will capture attention &#8230; adoption en-masse by corporations is quite another thing.&#8221; Reinsel told <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsfactor.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Newsfactor.com<\/a> that there&#8217;s no doubt that data breaches are expensive for businesses in many ways. However, so is data on a computer that sits behind an encryption key that only the employee knows, he said. &#8220;Hence the age-old issue &#8212; corporations (most of them) want to control the encryption methodology and the keys,&#8221; Reinsel said. &#8220;Any corporate solution would have to allow for some type of master-key so that the company can get at a rogue employee&#8217;s data.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>rb-<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Mr. Reinsel is on-point, this Swiss Army Knife, no matter the cool factor is a threat to the enterprise&#8217;s data. The size of the device can swallow a whole database and once it is encrypted with an individual&#8217;s key, it is pretty much gone.
