According to the <a title=\"CNNIC\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/China_Internet_Network_Information_Center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">China Internet Network Information Center<\/a> (CNIC), under the current allocation speed, China&#8217;s IPv4 address resources can only meet the demand of 830 more days, which means about January 01, 2011. Li Kai, director in charge of the IP business for CNNIC&#8217;s international department, says that new IPv6 network addresses are only used among educational networks in China.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>RB-<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> So apparently, China isn&#8217;t much further along with IPv6 deployment than Europe (<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20090917205303\/http:\/\/www.geant.net:80\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GEANT<\/a>) and North America (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.internet2.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Internet2<\/a>), where the research\/educational community primarily has large IPv6 networks<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><a title=\"Ralph Bach\" href=\"https:\/\/rbach.net\/index.php\/new-resume\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ralph Bach<\/a>\u00a0has been in IT long enough to know better and has blogged from his\u00a0<a title=\"Bach Seat\" href=\"https:\/\/rbach.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bach Seat<\/a> about IT, careers, and anything else that catches his attention since 2005.
