From there, a dog owner can tweak those recommendations. The article says FitBark aims to provide rich information with <strong>actionable insights for dog owners<\/strong>. That way, owners can quickly gauge what kind of day their dog is having, even if they\u2019re away from him or her. Owners can also gain better insight into how their dog acts around different people. The author says the data can be used to suggest that their dog is more active with one pet sitter than the other. Or maybe one boarding home makes their dog exercise more than the other.<\/p>\n<p><em>BI<\/em> reports that if <a title=\"Fitbark\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20140409085031\/http:\/\/www.crunchbase.com:80\/company\/fitbark\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FitBark<\/a> notices that a dog is nowhere close to hitting his or her daily goal, the <strong>owner may get a notification<\/strong> suggesting to take their dog on a walk. Once this occurs, the dog&#8217;s data is analyzed and sent back to the owner&#8217;s phone. So a developer could make an <strong>app to suggest certain types of pet foods<\/strong>, sync that up with Fitbark, and see if there are any noticeable changes in activity.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210805183519\/https:\/\/gigaom.com\/2013\/07\/25\/what-the-fitbark-relaunch-can-teach-you-about-pricing-a-connected-device\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GigaOm<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>points out that Fitbark pulled an earlier attempt at crowdfunding the device to rethink the business model, scrapping the monthly subscription fee and opting for a fixed price tag of $69 via Kickstarter or $99 for general retail.<\/p>\n<h3>Wearable tech market<\/h3>\n<p><a title=\"Broadcom\" href=\"http:\/\/www.broadcom.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Broadcom<\/strong><\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/NASDAQ-AVGO\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AVGO<\/a>) CEO Scott McGregor has announced its entry into the <strong>wearable tech market<\/strong> with the company&#8217;s low-cost, low-power Wireless Internet Connectivity for Embedded Devices (<a title=\"Broadcom Adds Wi-Fi Direct to Smart Device Platform\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/article2\/0,2817,2423627,00.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>WICED<\/strong><\/a>) hardware platform for connected mobile devices. <em><a title=\"PC Magazine\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pcmag.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage noopener noreferrer\">PCMag<\/a><\/em> <a title=\" Is Wearable Tech For Real?
