According to their report \u201c<em>Trends in Consumer Electronics: Afterlife<\/em>\u201d there is good news for the environment. According to the April 2008 study, households receiving broadcast signals only over-the-air (OTA) expect to remove fewer than 15 million televisions from their homes through 2010.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"Analog television\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/s3.amazonaws.com\/libapps\/accounts\/82880\/images\/TV.png?resize=107%2C95&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Analog television\" width=\"107\" height=\"95\" \/>Additionally, it is reported that 95% of the analog televisions will be sold, donated, or recycled. Most OTA-only households expect to buy a digital converter box (48%) and continue using the same TV.
