According to <em><a title=\"CiteWorld\" href=\"http:\/\/www.citeworld.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CiteWorld<\/a><\/em>, the pop diva has become involved in a <a title=\"Patent troll\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Patent_troll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">patent trolling<\/a> spat with ailing Canadian smartphone producer <a title=\"Blackberry\" href=\"http:\/\/us.blackberry.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blackberry<\/a> (<a title=\"NASDAQ | BBRY\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20191012191750\/https:\/\/www.thestreet.com\/quote\/BBRY.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BBRY<\/a>). The site reports that\u00a0<a title=\"Typo Keyboards\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20220905225457\/http:\/\/typokeyboards.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Typo Keyboards<\/a>, the <a title=\"Los Angeles\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lacity.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage noopener noreferrer\">Los Angeles<\/a>-based company, co-founded by\u00a0the\u00a0&#8220;<a title=\"American Idol\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/American_Idol\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>American Idol<\/em><\/a>&#8221; host\u00a0Seacrest submitted documents\u00a0the\u00a0<a title=\"United States District Court for the Northern District of California\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cand.uscourts.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage noopener noreferrer\">U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California<\/a> that claim in part that BlackBerry&#8217;s patent claims are invalid.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/ryan-seacrest-clear-channel-acquires-minority-stake-investment-286050\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-107549\" title=\"Ryan Seacrest\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/ryan-seacrest-e1570304525191-150x131.jpg?resize=114%2C100&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Ryan Seacrest\" width=\"114\" height=\"100\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/ryan-seacrest-e1570304525191.jpg?resize=150%2C131&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/ryan-seacrest-e1570304525191.jpg?resize=75%2C66&amp;ssl=1 75w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/ryan-seacrest-e1570304525191.jpg?w=686&amp;ssl=1 686w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 114px) 100vw, 114px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The start-up alleges that BlackBerry won&#8217;t suffer serious harm because its products aren&#8217;t selling that well anyway and that it has focused on the enterprise market while Typo is targeting consumers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\"><em>BlackBerry seeks a monopoly on keyboards for any device.
