The data collection programs have impacted US businesses ‘<\/strong>\u00a0ability to sell abroad<\/a>. Recent regulations introduced in China<\/a> have knocked<\/a>\u00a0Apple<\/a> (AAPL<\/a>), Cisco<\/a> (CSCO<\/a>), McAfee, and\u00a0Citrix<\/a> (CTXS<\/a>) out of growing markets.<\/p>\n

\"U.S.<\/a>Lisa Vaas<\/a>, at\u00a0Sophos’<\/a> Naked Security<\/em><\/a> blog, points us<\/a> to a recent \u00a0Pew Research Center<\/a> survey that documents the impact of TLA<\/a> spying and data collection on the home-front<\/strong>. Most Americans (87%) have heard about the National Security Agency’s<\/a> (NSA) surveillance programs since Snowden<\/strong> began leaking documents nearly two years ago. The Pew research<\/strong> found that nearly one-third of American adults have taken steps to protect their information from government surveillance<\/strong> programs that monitor phone and digital communications.<\/p>\n
