The pervy pics are <strong>unsolicited and indecent photographs. <\/strong>The pics are being sent over a new Apple feature in iOS called <a title=\"AirDrop\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/AirDrop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener wikipedia noreferrer\">AirDrop<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160708201727\/http:\/\/www.technobezz.com:80\/fix-bluetooth-connection-problem-htc-one-m8\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-105683\" title=\"Bluetooth\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/bluetooth.jpg?resize=96%2C46&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Bluetooth\" width=\"96\" height=\"46\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/bluetooth.jpg?resize=75%2C36&amp;ssl=1 75w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/bluetooth.jpg?resize=150%2C73&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/bluetooth.jpg?resize=768%2C372&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/bluetooth.jpg?w=851&amp;ssl=1 851w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 96px) 100vw, 96px\" \/><\/a><strong>AirDrop<\/strong> is a feature on the iPhone, <a title=\"IPad\" href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/ipad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage nofollow noopener noreferrer\">iPad<\/a>, and <a title=\"Macintosh\" href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/mac\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Mac computers<\/a>. AirDrop allows users to <strong>send files<\/strong>, such as images, to each other at a close range. The pics can be sent up to <strong>33 feet<\/strong> (10 m) via a <strong><a title=\"Bluetooth\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bluetooth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Bluetooth<\/a><\/strong> connection. Apparently, even if the receiver rejects the photo, they are still shown an <em>uncensored preview of the image<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>AirDrop initially establishes a connection over Bluetooth. It then uses a direct Wi-Fi connection between the two iPhones to send files. This makes the transfer much quicker. \u00a0It&#8217;s supported by devices from the iPhone 5 onwards with <a title=\"IOS\" href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/ios\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage nofollow noopener noreferrer\">iOS<\/a> 7 released back in 2013.<\/p>\n<h3>How to prevent the pervy pics<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nairaland.com\/2185636\/imagine-dialled-wrong-number-it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-105685\" title=\"Pervy pics appearing on your iDevice\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/woman_looking_phone-e1569187919434.jpg?resize=144%2C100&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Pervy pics appearing on your iDevice\" width=\"144\" height=\"100\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/woman_looking_phone-e1569187919434.jpg?w=378&amp;ssl=1 378w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/woman_looking_phone-e1569187919434.jpg?resize=75%2C52&amp;ssl=1 75w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rbach.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/woman_looking_phone-e1569187919434.jpg?resize=150%2C104&amp;ssl=1 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 144px) 100vw, 144px\" \/><\/a>To prevent the pervy pics from appearing on your <a title=\"IDevice\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/IDevice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener wikipedia noreferrer\">iDevice<\/a>, you need to <strong>take action<\/strong>. Mark James, a security specialist at <a title=\"ESET\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eset.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage nofollow noopener noreferrer\">ESET<\/a> UK, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.welivesecurity.com\/2015\/08\/13\/stop-pervy-pics-popping-iphone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">explains<\/a>. You have to set your <strong>AirDrop settings<\/strong> to \u201cContacts Only\u201d which will only permit AirDrop file transfers from people in your address book or <strong>disable AirDrop entirely<\/strong>.
