Imperva develops <strong>DDoS protection<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.incapsula.com\/ddos-protection-services.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Incapsula<\/a>), <strong>database security<\/strong>, (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imperva.com\/products\/data-security\/data-protection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SecureSphere<\/a>), and <strong>Breach prevention<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imperva.com\/products\/breach-prevention\/behavior-analytics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CounterBreach<\/a>) product lines \u2014 which protect websites, applications, APIs, and databases from cyberattacks while ensuring compliance.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.streetinsider.com\/Corporate+News\/Imperva+%28IMPV%29+to+Be+Acquired+by+Thoma+Bravo+for+%2455.75Share\/14691560.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"imperva noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"Imperva\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.streetinsider.com\/images\/summaries\/1396\/resize_Imperva.jpg?resize=137%2C65&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Imperva\" width=\"137\" height=\"65\" \/><\/a>For its third quarter of 2018, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20201102170940\/https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/imperva\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Imperva<\/a> expects to generate revenues of $90.0 million to $92.0 million, the company revealed. The <strong>$21.B purchase<\/strong> further consolidates the PE firm&#8217;s role in the cybersecurity software and technology market. Thoma Bravo most recently purchased <a href=\"http:\/\/rbachnet.wwwmi3-ss40.a2hosted.com\/?p=86296\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Barracuda Networks<\/a> and owns a number of other software and technology firms including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.continuum.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Continuum,<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imprivata.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Imprivata,<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/riverbed-finds-a-buyer-in-private-equity-firm-thoma-bravo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Riverbed<\/a>, and<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarwinds.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SolarWinds.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thomabravo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"bravo thoma noopener noreferrer\"><\/a>The purchase is not a done deal yet. The merger agreement provides for a 45-day \u201cgo-shop\u201d period, during which Imperva\u2019s Board and advisors may actively <strong>seek <\/strong><strong>alternative acquisition proposals<\/strong> and enter into negotiations with other parties, the announcement disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>Under terms of the Thoma Bravo deal, Imperva will delist and operate as a <strong>privately held company<\/strong>. The firm will keep its corporate headquarters in Redwood Shores, California, and continue to be led by its current executive team, both companies indicated.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>rb-<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Thoma Bravo is acquiring quite a tech portfolio.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Most recently they bought Apttus Corp., a contract lifecycle and digital commerce solution provider.
